Sheridan is a Graduate Intern at Hope Rising LLC as she pursues her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is currently working under the supervision of Samantha Colai, MA, LMFT RPT-S, SEP.  

We are all wired for and worthy of love and connection which can be difficult to navigate at any stage of life. There are many places where shame, doubt, past experiences, and miscommunication disorient and disconnect us. In today's fast-paced world, it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and neglect our connections with others and ourselves; however, taking the time to nurture these relationships is essential for our overall well-being. Investing in our connections is an investment in our own happiness and health.

I believe that therapy is a powerful way to explore the past to help us inform the future. I approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, and compassion. I strive to remain curious and highlight strengths to help each person feel seen and heard in a judgment-free space. I value and affirm all identities and experiences and want to learn more about what makes you, you! My therapeutic work is informed by emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, structural, narrative, and attachment lenses. 

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I am pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and am currently working under the supervision of Samantha Colai, LMFT.  

In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my partner and our dog, going to concerts, camping, and reading the latest “book-tok” book. I look forward to working with you and having the privilege of hearing your story!
