Jennifer is a Graduate Student Intern working towards becoming a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy under the supervision of Samantha Colai, LMFT SEP.

Jennifer believes in providing compassionate care that honors each person’s unique story and identity. Her approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and affirming environment where individuals can feel seen and heard. Jennifer has worked in the mental health field for over eight years, beginning her journey as a mental health aide and gaining experience in case management, IHS, ILS, and ARMHS. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metro State University and is currently pursuing her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University. As the daughter of immigrants, with her own immigration story, Jennifer brings a personal understanding of resilience, cultural identity, and the challenges faced by underrepresented communities. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals from marginalized backgrounds, and committed to offering care that is culturally responsive, empathetic, and empowering. Outside of her professional work, Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Jennifer cree firmemente en ofrecer una atención llena de compasión que respete la historia y la identidad única de cada persona. Su enfoque se centra en crear un espacio seguro y de apoyo donde todos se sientan escuchados y valorados. Ella tiene más de ocho años de experiencia en el área de salud mental; comenzó como asistente y luego trabajó en gestión de casos y diversos servicios de apoyo social (IHS, ILS y ARMHS). Se graduó de Psicología en la Universidad Metro State y ahora sigue sus estudios de maestría en la Universidad Saint Mary’s.

Como hija de inmigrantes, y teniendo su propia historia de migración, Jennifer entiende de manera personal lo que es la resiliencia, la identidad cultural y los retos que viven las comunidades minoritarias. Le apasiona ayudar a personas de entornos vulnerables y está comprometida a brindar una atención empática, que empodere a los demás y respete su cultura. En su tiempo libre, a Jennifer le encanta viajar y pasar momentos especiales con su familia y amigos.
